I think these engines are tough little things and wouldn't have an issue with 250 with sensible little upgrades (oil cooler, arp big end bolts etc) together with sympathetic driving. The rotrex is actually significantly kinder to the engine than an eaton or turbo from a peak cylinder pressure at low RPM point of view.

I would have more of an issue keeping up with the gearbox changes.

Also - if your selling a car, would you not remove the poorly installed sub together with gash wiring? Also the jank badges... Im not sure the vents are even real are they?

Didn’t blow up, no. But I’d say around 250bhp at the fly was close to the “safe” limit for a car you want to do regular miles in….I regret selling it now, but life goes on;

I will say/note, though the engine was fine, I totally destroyed a gearbox at Combe, a set of supercharger brackets at Mallory and the supercharger itself after a day at Oulton 🤦‍♂️
