People are scared of it because of the 'charger.

I personally wouldn't buy it due to the fact it would be a pain in the ass to shift for that very reason.

well i have spoken to the bloke who fitted the charger and i may well be having it all removed so its just standard.
i have just put on back on pistonheads. we want a 182 in part x with a bit of cash our way.

Charger wouldnt bother me, only reason i'd take the ph1 to be honest.
If I had the extra cash or I could get mine sold for decent money i'd be after it. Just hold tight Lewis if you can afford to

pics are to be added on ebay im at work at the mo. and whats the difference with buying a car from ebay/ autotrader/ dealers showroom even. its just advertisement. im sure if you went to a showroom for a car which had a few minor faults you wouldnt buy it or you would come to deal on the price??? a genuinely interested buyer comes to my house, has a look just as if he was in a showroom, i can even offer tea. if he doesnt like it he doesnt buy it.

My missus is pregnant so if it wasnt for that it would stay. its a joy to drive. it has such a road presence.

if it doesnt go for a price which we have in mind it will stay until it goes. the car is pretty much spotless minor the front bumper, which i will pay to sort if i have genuine interest.

I wouldn't worry mate,

it's a very specialist car, there's going to be a very very small market for it,

therefore you're gonna have to wait quite a while for someone to buy it.

However, when they do, they will probably just throw eight grand's worth of cash at you and not even bother bartering.

but as stated above a very limited audience. but i would have thought a part x on a 182 would be acheiveable especially with the price!!!

For me personally, if i was going for a non-standard PH1 Vee like that i would also want to see it have other mods, like the PH2 subframe, KWs etc. Otherwise i'd just take a PH2.

Im sure it will sell for that fella i paid more than that for a standard mk1, you did email me about my car i had for sale at the time but i couldnt insure the vee with the super charger

-it does but not fitted
-yes the bloke who sprayed it didnt cover it up, was sprayed as was stoned chipped but now he has gone bust
-no centre caps unfortunately

And am put off by the charger tbh. A bit different since you're on the forum and could maybe find info about about the car, but if I wasn't, I wouldn't consider it tbh. My own personal preference, nothing to do with you, just a bit wary of aftermarket superchargers/turbo installs. Only car I'd consider with an added charger is the MX5 because they've been done a lot before so plenty of info about them on the forums.

I would also get the centre caps as it will finish the look of the car off. Maybe consider giving the exhaust a bit of TLC so it looks cleaner through the rear mesh.

Not really anything that would put me off buying it other than the charger doesn't look like its been finished off properly and needs to be boxed in so you cant see it.

Also maybe say you will put a fresh MOT on the car for anyone that buys it as I know that a offer like that inspires confidence in people that the car is reasonably well looked after.

If I had the money I would of brought it along time ago!!

Ahh sorry mate, just seen that now, my net (or more likely CS) was playing up when I was mid-reading it and completely missed when you said that.

Yeah, as an advertisement, that's good, could treat it just like Autotrader etc and arrange viewing. And once pics up soon like you said, even better.

Centre caps are about nine quid each from Renault for the V6 mate. Part number is on V6Clio/net somewhere.

Not meaning anything against your car, but just wouldn't buy from Ebay. Hear too many stories of people turning up and the car being a rotter (not saying your one is)

I bet the fact its had an engine replaced is helping things. It would put me off straight away, I realise you've spent the money and had it done, I'm sure the works spot on aswell, but it would always leave me with a doubt.

The car has been for sale for ages as well... surely its worthwhile sorting these issues out for a couple of hundred quid??

If you are going to sell a modified car, you need to give confidence to a potential buyer that you haven't cut any corners. I'd want to know you have maintained it like it was your child! Otherwise i'd presume it would blow up after driving it down the road...

The pictures are also terrible. A car park with a modified 1.2 behind it? Not quite an Evo shoot is it...

100% in agreement. will look into getting them couple of things done. and a fresh mot is available to any buyer. may get a detailer round to get it minty fresh also. watch this space!

bring it to a v6 meet before it goes too so the other owners can have a look over it too!

might find a potential buyer from them.

to the right buyer i think its worth more than 8k. Its just finding that buyer!!
