superchip problems

i am thinking about getting a superchip, has anyone had there superchip a while and has it caused any problems, i am just a bit worried about putting the chip on my car, i have never had a car that is chipped.

thanks all:confused:

i worked with superchips to develop our own map for our conversion, not a problem and really raised my opinion of them........

I wouldnt think a normal chip would be any diff, its actually a reprogram....and it can get wiped when i goes in for a service...IF they flash it of update the ECU....which we do about twice a yr.

every one sl*gs off super chips i had one in my fiat bravo hgt 20v,it changed the car,the air filtter, power flow, and de-cat did f**k all so i took it all off and left the chip, proof of this is my brother had a fiat same model same year but less miles and mine was quicker over the 400 metres by a good car lenth

hi ben r

so it will be ok to fit, it wont make other parts fail on the car then just want it to work with my magnex zorst and viper and get a few more horses

yes.....no worries....no probs.....they only alter a little bit of fueling and the ignition curve.

this flash updfate of the ECU you talk about ben- is that to make sure the car has the latest revision of the software program for the car?

if so is it worth asking them to flash your motor so that the car has the latest one too? do they ake any difference?

not on an RT.........

but we get updates for all the new models.....as they constantly remove bugs from the system.

ok so theyre not developing it any more, but would they have the last revision of the software that was used? or not. would probably make bugger all diff anyway!

craigy, my dads had some bad experience with em in some of his cars before.. if u get the chance to see him before u get it. worth askin him too. know he wouldnt use em anymore.

plus k-tek/hill power chips are cheaper

i dont know about the older ECUs and their programming.......sorry, we never sold them...so i cant really say, not messed with them either.

um confused, what if i buy the k-tec chip once they fit it is that it or do i have to put it on the rollers

dont know what to go for either superchip or k-tec as they are close to me:confused:
