Just had 4 new contisport contacts (195 x 45 X R16 ‘V’) installed this morning, found last receipt for conti’s, fronts did 19103 miles!!
Rears 35254 – and they probably had enough left to stay on the car, but rather than have the front grip and
Hardly any at the back I changed them

Surely a club record this one?

my continentals were fitted when i bought the car, (around 13 months ago) and i have since covered 3500 miles, and they are bald. Bald as a badgers ass.

its about control as much as anything i drive pretty quick but dont wheelspin in 1st or anything silly and got 14k out my fronts (PE2's)

I got 20k out my corsas tyres - 1.0 effort and that was wads of wheelspin japes, which i keep to a minimum. Although last night had some fun since i knew they were getting changed today

Im on my 3rd set of PE2's and my cars done 19k. I always have traction on too....hmmm

Got 23K out of my PE2's at the front and used to give them a right hammering, they just kept taking more! But i did also do a hell of a lot of motorway miles and regularly ran 32+psi on the fronts.

EDIT: I also always drive with my esp OFF unless its snowing!

I went through tyres and pads on the front of my LCR in about 7K!

I don't think my parents have ever bough any tyres is that a record instead.

PS they keep cars for years.

The best I've ever managed is 16k from a set of tyres.
Normally I get about 10k.
