Suspension Question

Hi!
Please can anyone help. I have recently bought a 172 Exclusive, and most of it is good. The only issue I cannot resolve is that when she goes over bumps in the road she has a tendency to hop very slightly to the left. Does anyone know what causes this? It's really strange because I cannot see any obvious reason for this to happen as the suspension seems ok. Your help would be appreciated.

I would start by checking the rear shocks first, plus it's the easiest to check.

Drop them out and see if there is any resistance in them.

As said it could be a damper, it'll probably be leaking but i had one go without any sign of leaks.
