swapping coilovers

hi, I've just got mk 2 phase 2 1.6 clio, i have some coilovers on my mk 2 phase 2 1.2 clio, i've been told 1.6's have a bolt spacing of 58mm and 99% of 1.2's have a bolt spacing of 58mm also, but a few earlier models have a bolt spacing of 52mm. I am going to check my 1.2's bolt spacing later today. If it is 52 mm is there anyway of fitting them to the 1.6 with the 58mm bolt spacing?

my 1.2 8v phase 1 2001 reg has 52mm bolt spacing!

yeah you can fit em but you'd have to get a pair of 58mm hubs and do a hub conversion

Don't quote me on this but I think it's only Mk2 Ph1 with a 52mm bolt spacing...could be wrong though.
