Swirl Marks

Just been chatting to my next door neighbour while giving my clio a quick hose down, neighbour alleges that swirl marks are caused by not drying car? i thought it was from washing it with like sponges that caused them? please someone confirm!

personally i thought they were caused through using poor materials

i.e.

chamois

sponge

cloth to put wax on; and

cloth to take wax off

thats what i thought as well so as my car has been supagarded i now am only just using the hose to avoid any paint work damage

swirl marks are cause by cleaning/polishing with non-clean products such as sponges and cloths, the slightest bit of grit or anyhting with scratch the top layer of laquer.

always use a super clean bucket, once ya use ya sponge wash it through and put it straight into a plastic bag.

maybe pathetic but it used to keep my baby in tip top condition and will do again after the weekend when its painted :)
