Not sure if this is quite the right section. decided i cannot afford to run a 172 whilst at uni and still live the way i do so i have decided to get a 1.6 16v. So iam going to put the rep back to standard before selling on to make abit more doller right decision?. would anyone be interested in Part Ex some parts as i do not have the standard parts. Also Ideas for performance mods on a 1.6 16v?

List of parts comming off the rep

Custom Front 172 Bumper (smoother and fits normal wings)
Colour Coded rear bumper (172)
182 wheels re furbed in lambo grey (few marks on 2 wheels, good tyres)
k tec spillter

DvD/CD/Sat nav head unit

Why not just keep the 1.2 save and get a 1*2 in the future when you can afford it?The car looks nice and is cheap to run / insure etc.Seems a waste to sell it on just to replace with another clio with a slightly bigger lump?

I'd keep the rep as it is, it looks pretty sweet tbh. If you have to sell it try advertising it as it is, if say in a few weeks time you don't get any interest consider putting it back to standard & selling the bits (as you plan to do).

Or keep it for a year & then either 2.0 it up, up get a proper 172/182. It is a nice rep though.

no way you'll get £1k for that list of parts i'd say - apart from bumpers and wheels (probably not worth much more than a few hundred?), the rest is just little bits

what's preventing you from being able to afford to run it? insurance?

insurace, fuel costs and if anything goes wrong with it iam still a full time student and iam guessing 172 parts are more expensive and harder to come buy them 1.2 ones
