Tappety Engine

Is there anything i can do to make my 1400 engergy engine less tappety, sounds like i am in a fiesta when at the lights lol

I've tried redex & the usual suspects but nothing works, i'm considering replacing the engine at a later stage anyway, so what should i go for?

There is something you can adjust IIRC.

dont know anything about the engine and dont have autodata on this pc,, find out if your engine has hydraulic lifters or not
i would have thought they aren't and it will just want the tappets adjusting

check the tappet clearances then.

Or take the tappet cover off, and adjust the tappets lol
