Tapping at around 2k revs ???

Hi all, my new toy 2004 Clio 182 has 127k and has started to tap around 2k revs them goes after that. It's so say had a de phaser done in 2014 but I've read lots of things about it being installed wrong. I don't have a clue what oil is being using in it but the level is good. Any help would be great.

I'm not sure it was done before I got the car mate.saying that I've been looking through the receipts and I can find them first being bought but not actually fitted. Would the noise be linked to the de phaser?

The dephaser shouldn't rattle after two years, i've read that using the wrong grade oil can cause it to fail more quickly.

Are you sure its not a heat shield?

I don't think it's the heat shield as it increases with the revs what grade oil should I be using?

The engine vibrates more at around 2k revs which in return will rattle heat shields etc.

Elf 5w40 fully synthetic from Renault mate.

Cool, what is have noticed is that it's only when the cars warm. If that helps
