Tapping Noise

There is a strange tapping noise comming from the drivers side???

Ive checked the engine over and it only seems to make a noise when im doing over 40mph....

any suggestions as im suppost to be driving to Devon on Saturaday

when did it last have its timing belt done?my car used to make a noise like yours at about 2000 revs and every now and then when on idle!turned out to be the timing belt knocking on the cover
