Tapping on tick over....

After i drive my cup 172 for a while, i pull up to some lights and i can hear a constant tapping... i Rev the car to about 3k
and it stops.
and starts again when i next stop.
Anyone get anything like that?!?!

is there a fix?!?!

evaporative purge canister - put more damping material round it like they have in the 182.

or take it out.....
