it was me asking how much a years tax on a 52 plate 172 is? i thought i would be the same as my last 2litre car (mr2) which was £190. but when i looked at the tax disc it says £65 ish for 6 months.

It was probably 65 for 6 months last time it was taxed, only recently gone up hasn't it?

that what that links saying, iv just tried half a dozen regs of 172 of the trader and they all come out at £190. when i put my reg in its coming up with all the right info (cc and colour etc) only difference is its saying the emmissions are lower on mine, duno why, saying 154kg instead of 195kg which is what the others are saying.

Well thats confirmed something for me, my Sons 172 comes up with £175 whilst most others are £195.

Go with the flow, if you get away with it, good luck ! cant be your fault can it.

Its defo correct, I had a boxster and the clio and couldnt believe the boxster was cheaper to tax.

If you check that site it tells you a Ferarri 360 is cheaper to tax!

Its all a load of b****cks, our work sprinters are on the road 24/7 they're the 5 cyl 160hp versions too so not the most economical etc etc, a years tax is 170quid.. Then my cup is 190quid for what an hour a day. Bullshite

Cannot believe it! Just put the reg in of the 172 I'm buying and its £190!!
At the moment I only pay £170 on my Impreza WRX. Must be because its an older car I guess. Still a joke though.

i phoned the dvla today because this was playing on my mind abit, she got my details up from my reg which were all correct and then said....


dont worry bout it you get road tax cheaper.
