temp guage on dash

hiya, i just got my 1.4 16v clio 05 extreme ed. where the time is displayed isnt it supposed to display the external temp also?????

ive read the manual and have done what it said but it still only displays the time.
also does the car have ESP?? and if so can it be turned off??

No it won't have esp. Being an extreme it probably doesn't have the temp sensor fitted, is there a black nipple sticking out of the bottom of the passenger wing mirror ? If not then the sensor isn't fitted so it won't display the temp, if there is then something is wrong somewhere.

Well I never knew the black nipple is the temp sensor - the amount of times I've twiddled it - & I never knew!
