Temperature Gauge problem

over the past few days, noticed that the temperature gauge has started fluctuating, usually once its warmed up its steady as a rock and just sits on half way, but recently its been taking a long time to get up to half way and then it drops and rises inconsistantly.
any ideas anyone?

either temp sensor or thermostat dude! mine has just had thermostat changed because of the same fault as u are having!
