Temperature sensor

Hi my girlfriend has been using my cup and it says the temperature is 34c outside even though its freezing temperatures.

Is this a case of the sensor under wing mirror faulty? If so can you buy these seperate?

Lol I have exactly this atm - been meaning to take a pic of the car frosted up and then the temp gauge - been getting readings from 28deg c to 35 deg c.

Is it the mirror or wiring loom ie in or around the passenger door?
