Terrible quality key cards!

  GW 200
I've had my brand new Clio 200 for less than 4 months, and both key cards have already broken! :S

Being crushed in pocket? I've had a megane one from work a few times which gets abused daily as its a pool car and its still going strong. The new cards which came with a brand new top of the range scenic where cheap as though, made from a different plastic.

Never had any problems with mine :S

I don't have keys on mine though, keep my card and my keys seperate.

I also had a Megane for over 3 years, and the single key card i used was pretty good quality and survived all kind of abuse!

I should think it's the weight of the arse thats sitting on them tbh

LOL.. maybe!
btw, mine were not sat on :p

the one to the right, i had no idea what had happened to it...
the other, i did it drop it, but from a such a low distance to the floor... i was shocked that cracked it!
quite cheap plastic tbh! :S

  Discounted 1*2 parts
True.

but they should be made reasonably durable!

They're not exactly flimsy lol

Unfortunately people forget they have them in their pockets (especially the keyless entry ones) and end up sitting on them, dropping them, putting them through washing machines etc. Can't really blame the key card for that!

I worked at renault for 7 years and nearly every company car I had came with a key card.

I also owned a Clio 200 for 9 months (as the family car!) and not once has a key card 'broken' on me.

Look at the state of them in the pictures! They're battered! WTF are you doing with them??

That's got to be something you've done somehow. I've had mine for 18 months and the key card gets thrown about and dropped on my door step nearly every weekend while I'm pished out of my tits trying to get in my front door, and it's fine.

Can't you sync the key-card to your front door? That would be enough to inspire a drunkard like me to get a 200!

Your clio didnt have a card did it? Ipods' dosen't.

My spare came broken, but you can buy new cases and they arent too difficult to change. My main card is fine, will hopefully never use the spare. Only ever used it to check it worked.

Keycards + Fat arses = FAIL

I had my Laguna II card run over by a 3.5T Ford Iveco and it survived all be it a bit battered but still, very impressed when it actually unlocked my old GT.

Would of thought a wallet would be the worsed place to have a key as well?
