Test drive anyone ?

As some of you may have read in my other thread theres only the odd 1 or 2 172's for sale over here in N. ireland every month so im having to come over to England to get a half decent one.
The only thing is im sort of buying in the dark here and although iv been sent quite a few pics it tells me nothing about how the car is actually performing.
Is there anyone in the Newport, Telford, Stafford area who fancies a test drive before i send a deposit. The guy in the car dealers seems 100% but i would love to get a neutral opinion before sending a cheque.

Seriously wouldn't be sending a cheque for a car I hadn't test drove! If your going to England, try to look for a 172 somewhere near a city with an airport with a route from Belfast, e.g. Liverpool. That way you could fly over on Easyjet or something for a cheap price, test drive the car and then make you decision after that. Alternatively...just keep an eye out locally.

Theres nothing at all local, Im after a ps1 172 with under 60k and not in silver or green !

Its hard enough finding one amongst the 200 172's for sale in England, if i waited on a suitable one turning up over here id be waiting a hell of a long time. As for not driving it im kind of crossing my fingers. Its mot'd for 11 months theres a FSH and only 50k on the clock so its not your typical banger !

I bought mine without a test drive, I had test driven a R27 though. And Steve did take me for a little drive before I paid him. I could tell I wanted it
