Was thinking about getting mine done when I first got my CUP but decided to keep it standard.

Is it really worth it.

Been in a chipped a cup and it felt hardly if not no different so minimal performance gain.

Engine is being put under more stain with the increase in the rev limiter so must effect reliability and life of the engine.

When you go to sell your car it might put someone of if they realise its been chipped.

If I was going for a mod it would be a 182 manifold as more power gain and your not messing with engine.

I wouldn't of thought that it would put a strain on the engine....the rev limit is probably pretty conservative and when the fuelling is all matched so it doesn't run lead at the top end it's more than like;y to be fine.

A custom remap with mods such as cams WILL produce a big difference. Chip on its own should still be noticeable though...

the worst chip i put on my old cup was a super chip it did nothing and was £300

waste of time got my cash back

am going to get this done but i am geeting a few engine mods done first so it's all done for the new ecu .

I'll take that as a yes then, lol.

Edit: Might seem a strange question, but do RSTuning do MOTs at all? I'm expecting a 'no'.

Er engine is only put under more strain with an increased limiter if you use the extra revs :)
