Thatcham 1 alarms

My new 182 wont include a standard UK alarm, but the dealer said he can fit a Thatcham 1 alarm for £250.

Are there different makes of Thatcham 1 alarms. If so which one is the best ? Whats the standard 182 alarm.

its a decent alarm that is already cat 1, the dealer either hasnt a clue or is trying to get more moeny out of you.

yes forgot about that one, if its an import mat then prob ownt have alarm as standard try and find out wht model the cat 1 alar is he is selling for £250

Yes it is an import. I am concerned to keep my insurance company happy.

I never asked what alarm he would be fitting thinking there was only one alarm for the 182.

Is £250 cheap / expensive ?
