Well I am sooooo pissoff . Last year someone went into the side of me and made a nice big dent in my Front Drivers Side Wing (which is due to get repaired next week at a cost of £270). Thats bad enough.

Then a week after that (last year) I noticed a big dent in the bonnet (in the centre) and have been quoted £454 to get it repaired. Which I think some kids across the road did with there football , but alass no proof.

Anyway just took dog out this morning and nothiced that someone has hit the side of my Passenger side door (underneath the wing mirror) FFS and left a small dent and taken abit of black paint off. It must have been done overnight or this morning cuss the car hasn't been shifted since Monday and I would have noticed...

I have really looked after the car myself. Its just other fecking people. I have only done 8603 miles since brand new and it looks like I will only get £4700 from https://www.webuyanycar.com cuss I can't sell it privately how it is?.

Its because there's about 4 pubs at the bottom of the road. It seems to be happing more offen. So either I am getting another car (MG TF 160) and renting a garage or am selling my Clio and not bothering at all with getting another.

TBH I have just got a settlement figure for the loan on the car and its £4500 so I could sell the car at a loss and still clear the loan. Its just going to cost ££'s to repair the bonnet and now the door and I think the door would require a new one?.

Get them repaired yourself or by a body shop.

270 for a wing? If you look on eBay a fair few sell for under 40 pounds.

Even if it is the wrong colour it will only cost about 70 for a respray.

Then just fit it yourself?

I got the quote done from Pentagon Vauxhall Sheffield. My insurance company told me to go there for the insurance work (front wing). So I thought I might as well get a quote for the bonnet as well, but a company called ReShape quoted me £300 for the bonnet.

TBH I don't see the point in repairing the car as I am selling it anyway and I won't get the money back. I am thinking about getting the MG TF 160 and renting a garage instead. I'll have a think about it. I do know that the MG TF's are prone to Head Gasket Failure, but they look nice lol.

You need to just wait and source the parts from a breakers or eBay.

Someone would buy it to repair it and then sell it on most likely. They would do this because there is a reward for repairing it. Cut out that middle man, do the work yourself and you will get more money for the car.

around £80-100 and i live near eastbourne on the south coast to give you an idea so works out approx £20 a week

Feel for you mate. Got the same where I live (Bristol City Centre). If it is'nt people who can't drive hitting the bumpers, it's students jumping over them for a laugh, or scumbags breaking the windows to try and find Sat Navs. 3rd day I had mine some silly b**ch reversed into itnd put a massive dent in my boot lid with the spare wheel on the back of her vitara. Drives me bonkers too mate.

I think Sam has a point there, it'd be wize to source the parts and get some quotes for spraying and fiting them. The refit should be easy enough for you to do your self so also ask about the price just sprayed and not fitted if you are confident about doing the work.

If you can start renting a garage before the work has been done or have a friend / relitive with a drive or garage then park it there untill you sell it, if need be, you dont want someone to go putting a fresh dent in a new pannel.

Detail the car to a good standard and you should sell for more than what you have been offered, here are some example prices from Parkers:
