The Airbox mystery???

Can anyone tell me for sure whether there is the slightest bit of difference between a 172 airbox and a Cup 172 airbox???
I know it's probably a bit of a stupid question!:S

Yes it's stupid question. lol. They are identical. Only 'mechanical' changes as such were to the suspension components and geometry. Engine and drivetrain are identical.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if there were very minor changes from year to year though, but they should be identical.

Although they benchtested some Cup engines so there is more chance of it actually having the power say...

I normally wouldn't believe it either but whenever i have been a to a RR day its only normally only 172s that get less that quoted figures.

Good guess!
Got a couple of options, one of which is a non-cup, and seeing as I know feck all about engines etc. I prefer to check with you guys before forking out the £££s

just seen an airbox on ebay if your interested. From a 172 if that helps
