roll cages such as safety devices etc offer more structural support than show cages

its a show cage (k-tec one) and don't do nowt except look nice, and make the back look less like a van now the seats are out.
the only cage you could rely on is a FIA approved one and they all require cutting of the dash & trims something i don't wanna do at the moment

proper cages need welding in, or plates welding then dirllign through/bolting

proper cages stiffen the car up loads and save your life

show cages would probably just snap and stab you in the back of the head.

thing is.. insurance companies see show cages as proper roll cages so usually double your premium.

if you crash with one in.. its going to show up as the roof skin etc will bend round it .

Proper cages cover the driver though.

My old one was a proper cage which was FIA approved for racing (in some series) but it didn't need the dash cutting.

cheers, been stripped even further and harnesses fitted since these pics, so even more rally **** (with a sunroof lol) now!
