The best tyre dressing

  Clio Expression 1.2 16V
Want my tyres looking glossy wet deep black.

Some durability would be nice but as long as it lasts a few days thats okay.

What do you guys use?

  106 GTi
Blackfire Long Lasting Gel or Poorboys Bold and Bright for day to day use.

Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber for shows.

  Mito Sportiva 135
megs endurance tyre gel, looks well good and lasts ages.

Don't rate the Megs stuff, is too sticky and runs off too quickly in the wet. Does have a nice glossy finish when first applied but thats about it as far as I can tell really. Sorry to piss on your bonfire mate! ;)

wouldn't recomend the megs endurance for anything more than shows also, looked gr8 when i applied it but one trip down the m4 & it was all over the side of the car & the shine didn't last more than 2 days, so much for "endurance", i'd recomend the AG tyre dressing, very happy with the stuff

Opposite way round here AG Tyre Dressing/AG Vinyl and Rubber (same product one is just fragrenced lemon) won't last more than a few days, or seconds in the rain so is Show use only for me. Looks superb so always use it on the 182 at shows.

I dislike Megs Endurance Gel as it attrack's dirts and builds up in brown layers on the tyres over repeated applications but does last pretty well.

Rich how did you apply the endurance? i saw loads of ppl down at the pvs car show using small paint brushes + leaving it to dry for 24hours, thats the method i've used & still think the stuffs gonna stay in the car beauty products tub doing nothing more than making my collection of stuff look bigger lol

With the Megs - I have applied it both with a brush and foam aplictators, both give some inital splatter but when that is gone they stay black for a decent amount of time, but do lose there gloss. Unlike the AG if you drive it in rain it still stays on till you scrub it off. Not a fan of it though.

I was mainly after the gloss, thats why i went with the megs stuff, u ever tried the hot shine from megs? saw it in halfords on my last visit, i may pick sum up next time i'm there.. still AG tire dressing does it for me.. for now.. although with the "summer" we're having it pains me to wash the car only to see it get filthy again.. oh well

The Hot Shine is greasy and horrible. You can't go wrong with the AG shame it does not last that long. When I want a spot on look at a show it is my choice.

Otherwise it is Blackfire for gloss and durability

^ ^ now thats clean n shiny ;) , oh but i can see a spec of dirt! oh wait just the screen on my laptop lol.. guess i'll stick with gd old AG for now

  Not got a car
i have not yet to find one that lasts and not go all greasy. Sor far used auto glym and that goes after a few days plus its messy, now using turtle wax nano stuff thats poo as well.

Poorboys next.

For non greasy look into Swissvax Penu - leaves no gloss though just black new looking tyres.

I like the Auto Glym Tyre Dressing for doing the inner arch, sprays and black it up nicely.

Not to worried about them looking glossy as long as they are black. Sounds like thats might be what i want.
