I am sure there are technical reasons why something can and cannot work. But not everything can be put down to science. You can try something that shouldnt work and it does, and vice versa. Thats how new things are discovered all the time. Im sure teflon was a byproduct of something else.
All I know that on my car, and some other people have said it too, it can work. On mine it gives me 40 miles extra out of a tank. End off really so what is the point in saying I dont know my own car.
If its a widget off ebay, as stated above, this person clearly dont know what they are talking about. Its not one of those resistors you see on there.
Trouble with this forum is everyone is sooo condesending to others. If one person had a crap clio or one that does that make the claimed performance figures then that is a one off. If a Trophy gets a bad review because it broke down, the reviewer should not have dissed a clio. Some people have such narrow minds. If columbus believed world was flat he wouldnt have bothered going anywhere.
Back to the ecotek. I dont know what claims people expect from one. Many tuners sell them, but then if say a certain IK or cam was rubbish I am sure they would still be sold if there are people who will pay for them.
My ecotek I thought would run lean if that is how I get extra mpg. If it does not according to people who know there stuff then all is good. I wont know until engine is taken apart. If a swirl of air is created and this helps burn fuel better, or whatever, I dont care. If it works in giving me more miles between fill ups then cool. But then perhaps having a smooth driving style which is why I dont shred tyres etc helps. Still drive the same with it off and get 360 out of a tank.
