The Garage Bodge Job!

Well was supposed to pick the 182 up today but got a call to say they have ordered the wrong front bulb in (xenon) so as I was off I told them I was coming to look the car over.

Got there my cold air feed had gone, not to bothered as was never that keen on it, so I now have a brand new bottom grill, oh and my silver visions I only have one on the front drivers side! not too bothered about that as can get a new pair for £10.00

But that was the least of my worries!

Take a look at these pics for yourself! basically get the following fixed or I won't be taking the car when it's ready next week,

Wing was not aligning up at all, seems to be a hair line crap on the wing (see pics) bonnet is way out to me! everything else seems ok though!

yeah see above link, from looking at the pictures it looks more like the headlight has not been put in properly compared to the drivers side one.

Lols, if it's had a new l/h/f wing it may be a plastic edge? Like when you have platic item and where it's cut off the mould there's like an edge?

The front end looks over form the gaps but could just be half arsed fitment of the lights.

Find out if it got a front panel for me and i'll tell you why the light aren't fitting.

and this was ready to drive away? you did the right thing by telling them to poke it until its repaired to your standard

it was kind of ready i think they was planning on me taking it after they had fitted the bulb and cleaned it which would of been later on this afternoon, so yeah! I went up as it's not far from me so though what the heck I'll see how it is, I was shocked to be honest!

Looks about normal to me. Clios dont appear to have the best panel fitment even when straight tbh.

Could be a non - OE bonnet, I've seen non gen ones have crap fitment/gap issues.

there is about an inch of ajustment on most parts of the front end FFS

Tbh if they're nabbing things off your car I'd be bring that up aswell, fair enought if you don't want it, but it's still theft.

I've had a new n/s/f wing, gengine Renault one and it fits like a pig there's nothing I can do about it though as I've had 2 and they're both the same. What's the gap between wing and door like!?

Yeh, don't take it back if it looks like that. Something is wrong there. It could be the photos but there could be some very uneven trim margins around those areas.

Yeah noticed the the light is way out for some reason! prob something to do with the wing not being lined up properly!

Spray job etc is spot on! they just need to make them adjustments and sort the problem out with the tope edge on the wing. told them I don't care if thats how it came in to them, I want to looking to the same standard of my original drivers side wing!

don't think it's had a front panel but I will get a list of everything that was changed when I go to pick it up

there is ajustment on the bonnet, and the wings are really ajustable.

only the headlights that are forced into place, and then the bumper sits respective of the wings.

i would have it sorted for yourself in circa 20 mins lol

Well, Garage rang me today and left me a voice mail,

Basically saying my bulb is now in and because THEY was not happy with the finish on the wing (more like I pointed it out!) they are respraying it

So hopefully they will get the wing on straight this time around and the lights to fit correctly this time!

Should be back sometime this week upto standard hopefully!

Is it just me or is that not just normal reanault build quality, I have 3 friends with clios and they all look like that.

probably is the build quality but I want it to be at least how it was and it wasn't like that.

Oh another update! they rang me again this morning its not just the Xenon that was fucked it was the whole headlight apparently! so a new one has been ordered and will be in within 2 days so prob have the car by the weekend!

Then it's time to re fit the carbon splitter and spray the badge back to matt black and possibly the wheels

after moaning they replaced the wing again and lines everything back up, but still it should of been 100% correct in the first place
