First time id cleaned the Mk1 since i got it at the start of September the other day, clayed it too, then it rained, and ruined all the hard work :(

Decided to go and get some pics as I have none of the car iteself, and I was bored with stuff going wrong with it!

How do you find it handles in the wet with the rear being so slammed and stripped? Turned mine into a danger car when I did that....

i keep the spare wheel on my willy now cuz without it, the thing was just insane in the wet, had some seriously scary moments.

Glad we are singing from the same hym sheet.

When mine was stripped.... No rears or spare was bloody dangerous. You really didn't even have to push it - almost more drive normally.

Valvers are great.

They seem like such a good idea at the time.....small, quick, strippable, slaggish.

But then they end up just financially crucifying you.

Looks mint and hope you get the problems sorted.

I really don't know why everyone slates these cars. You lot must drive like pricks. I give my cars death everytime I drive them but they are all 100% reliable.

I'm on my 3rd mk1 and i've never had a thing go wrong (runs to touch wood) with them. (16v, 16v hybrid and a Williams)

My 32,000 mile 172 gave me more aggro tbh.
