Just bought a decent set of tyres for the front as the cheap ditch finders are no good.

I know its silly but I'm going to stick the ditch finders on the back as there is still 7mm tread on them and it would be a waste just to throw them out.
Putting these on the front.

Also just had a new rear door lock fitted , boot solenoid fitted and the biggest problem of them all . . . . . . . . . The DMF !!
Just had that done today at an Audi Specialist , Never went with the Solid flywheel and just stuck with the dual.
Was a genuine LUK unit & bolts that where done.

DMF (and clutch at the same time) is crazy expensive. Are you footing the bill yourself or is warranty covering it - wonder if its a wear and tear item. How did you know it needed doing as your car is quite low mileage. DMF scares the s**t out of me and I am tempted to sell my A3 on soon because of it. I dont have any of the symptoms yet but know they might be just around the corner.

Car is looking stunning though Marc and your home looks amazing.

Keep the Ditch finders on the front

I knew the dual mass was on its way as I heard it and as I worked for Audi / VW for 6 years I had a good idea.
The clutch does not get changed on a DSG box as its a wet clutch inside the box and not a standard clutch.

It was all covered under warranty and I never paid a penny and I even got to choose the garage it went to to get repaired.

The two ditch finders are only on the back for a month and I will buy another two tyres to match the fronts so all 4 are the same

Dual mass and new starter motor fitted and now its perfect.

Audi goes into SWR on tues morning to get new discs & pads all round.

There is some scratches on the back bumper i want to get sorted then its almost perfect for a 2007 car
