The price of paint work

Ordered a ktec spoiler for my 200 earleir this week and it arrived on friday. Popped down to a local painters near me to get it sprayed and the guy said it would cost about £150 I was a little shocked as it has been a long time since i have had anything sprayed and for £150 you could get a whole bumper done not just a small roof top spoiler.

Was this guy taking the piss or am i getting old. The spoiler is not primed and i just want it done in black.

I know with paintwork you get what you pay for but i just dont want to get mugged Oh and if anyone knows any good places in hampshire to get paintwork done please tell me as i know no one around here

Southampton is a bit of a hike then just for a spoiler painting.

i had bonnet, boot and the whole side of the car painted for £300

the thing with bodywork is the more you have done the cheaper it gets, they might have to buy more paint than they would use on a spoiler as a minimum
