Ive noticed my 182 is having a few problems with the idle speed and the temp guage. The car sometimes idles at 2k after being driven normally and up to operating temperature, and obviously this is not right. Also, the temp guage goes from being normal (just above middle) to cold while driving, and it sometimes sits at cold for miles. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Could i need a re-program of my ecu? warranty work yeah?

Definately warrenty work! Could be a faulty temp sensor.

Mine did this for about 2 weeks then just went away!

I have just had my ECU reprogrammed under warranty as the idle speed was too high ater being warmed up, however my car is the 1.2 16v so could be a common problem. I havent had any probs since (touch wood). The only reason they reprogrmmaed the ECU was that they could find no fault with the car??
