Where I work (next to a bypass) you get a lot of boy racers driving past all night. Anyway there is this one car (cant tell what it is, cos there is too much body kit on, might be a fiat) and it drives up and down several times a night. Its got something on it that makes it sound like a jet engine when it gets to the top of the revs. It sounds really throughty low down, then when he floors it after a bit you get this lovely (very loud) whooshing whining noise. Its so loud that when its going down the bypass we can hear it from about a half mile away. I think its got a turbo, but I am not sure. It drove round our carpark once and I think I heared a dump vavle, but it was very quite. Cant here a dump valve when its going down the bypass, but you can hear other cars with them when they go down.
So what do you reckon could be making the noise?
