There is smoke without fire lol!!

Went to get my aircon topped up today , and all of a sudden smoke ( rubber burning) appeared .....my air con pulley was glowing ( presumed to be bust now ) do they seize? Anyway I have a spare pump which has fluid in ( is this oil )? And turns freely on the pulley and centre ,
is this a big job or just aux belt slackened off etc then a brew and rich tea job ?

Yep seized fella. Lucky it didn't rip the aux belt off. It's best practice to replace the aux belt and tensioner if your disturbing it. Oh and yes A/C has oil in the system! Good luck

yes as above its a certain oil that isnt just normal engine oil , also believe its a bumper off jobbie and also replace aux belt and tensioner !

Just had aux belt and tensioner done 400 miles ago lol , is there a guide on here ?
