Things to watch out for

My brother is looking for a 1.2 clio as his first car. Looking at 1995/1996 models.

Weve found a couple for around the 1k mark with 50/60k on the clock.

Is there anything in particulair we should be looking for? Rust etc?

Also what insurance companies are the best for new drivers? Best quotes so far are around £1350 TPFT

Best get the ophobne book out and try the back of modding mags for companies. The lesser known ones can be bad regards payout though.

Loook for rust in the rear aches though.

make sure the fan at the front of the engine bay works when the engine is overheated.
