thanks gord r i will keep that in mind
cheers mate
at the moment my clio 172 is fine but i think its time for a change
depending on innsurance its gonna be
1 mitsi evo
2 subaru impreza
3 jdm civic type-r
as these cars have excellent tuning options, where the bad thing is with renault you spend a shed load of money and get nowhere the tunning for the 172 is rubbish someone needs to bring out more tunning products
and more option, take a leaf of jap tunners book
massive power gains
come on renault tunners get it sorted out
Get a IV mate, as they are different to a III and a LOT better!
The I, II & III are all the same and based on a Proton, but the IV was the first of a new generation and the IV, V, VI & Makinen all use the same shell, transmission, etc... so parts are more common. plus they share the same engine as the current VIII so its still modern!
The 4 is the one to go for, its the first car to have the 276bhp and AYC but the AYC units on the 4s and 5s were known to be faulty so watch out as they are around 600+ quid to replace.
These cars need super unleaded fuel and octane booster, they drink the stuff so watch out for that, also, servicing costs are very high, no matter how much you look at it, its going to rob you rotten, especially parts like brake discs which are brembo items.
If you can afford it (look at the can part of it as i earn 30k per year and still struggle sometimes running the impreza) then get yourself a run around (ie a 205 diesel) which is cheap to insure, good on fuel and cheap to service, you will save more than you think doing it this way rather than running the evo all the time
