This came in my clutch kit, what is it? Wasn't on with my old clutch...

I had this come with the clutch kit, there is a set of instructions that looks like it goes on between the clutch and flywheel, but there wasn't one on before, so i left it off for now, but would like to know what it is, can soon put it in as the engine is out.

it's for alignment. I never use them
