just out of interest i would like to see if any of you guys are pissed off with your renault dealers service, or have been in the past. I would really appreciate it if you could post here the dealers location, and the problems with your car, and why renault pissed you off about it. so here goes......

Renault Enfield

2 days to tighten the handbrake no phone call to let me know what was going on. No loan car.

It goes on but thats the worst of it

I can recomened waters in stalbans
 


I had problems with Waters in St albans and found renault enfield to be OK. Its just Renault in general that I have a big problem with. They make great cars but only make them to last a week!!!.

Caledonia Renault Bolton.

1: Bought the car, and traded in a Xsara. They did its first MOT as part of the deal. It failed funnily enough and came to the exact amount that theyd given me over book price for it. Took it to another MOT station and it passed, which is more convincing given itd not long since had its biggie 3yr service by Citroen Manchester.

2: The clio needed a few things sorting. A bit of bodywork, a handbrake that was almost not attached to the floor of the car. Picked it up to find it still wobbly and he just sadi to book it in for the following week! Not what you expect when picking up your new used car. Did it myself with a socket set when I got home.

3: Then found personal details of one of their employees in the glovebox. Bank details, landlord details, training course details etc. Money and pens rattling around under the spare, along with an alloy key. Another alloy wheel key under the front seat with 50p and a ciggie, in addition to the wheel key they gave me because the other had gone missing. (and the one they gave me had the wrong stud pattern for getting the cap off!)

4: Hot rock holes in both front seats and one rear seat. They fixed this eventually.
 


Baldocks - burgess hill - bought a brand new car, front off side tire underinflated, so much so that it came off rim when cournering(sp). BUT they replaced the wheel and tire for free - no other damage to car

Arnold Clark Wigan. Poor service generally, bodyshop work of unaccpetable standard. Returned car in filthy condition. Dont return phonecalls.

Arnold Clark Warrington. Sales really good. Servie and repair poor. Exhaust blownig on service and they never noticed. Good price for the service though. (Paid 117 for 12k service.)

Dutton James St. Helens. majority of the time very good. Can generally get a service/warranty appointment within the same week. Used their parts department a bit and always been very helpful. Did do 25miles in the car without permission and also unable to sort the 4k rattle.Defintiley the best of the ones reasonabley local to me.

CAMDEN RENAULT NORTHAMPTON,

really expensive, dont have a clue and pose imported cars as uk cars.

They also take your car out for 35miles when it went in to fix the alarm:confused: but when it went in for the exhaust to be changed they didnt take it out at all and now it rattles again, seems to effect the performance as well

Co-Op Renault Ilkeston.

Took my car in twice to have a squeak fixed on the back passenger side (track rod ends????), but they cant find anything wrong with it. This isnt me being a tit, there is a massive squeak every time you hit a slightly rough piece of road.

Dont return phone calls.

Dont make phone calls when car is ready.

Try to make you pay for work that hasnt been done, then get stroppy when you refuse.

Dont like doing work under warranty.

Re-programme my radio stations (on an after-market stereo, not that makes any difference).

Receptionist who has the manners and personality of a plant pot.
 


Same problems with service at Renault Ilkeston (Nottingham)

So many to go in to but to give you an example. My brand new Cup didnt come with Cup badges on the pillar. This was a MINOR fault with the car. Anyway got the car June, said they would order the new one for me. Got a call last week

Renault "sir weve got your cup badges"

Me "Er sold the car so dont need them"

Renault "Would the person who bought the car like them putting on"

Me"Dont know cause I PX it two months ago!!"

Renault "OK"



The car needed new a new alloy. splitter wasnt straight, rear panel needed resraying,temperature senor changed, tracking done twice before right.

RENAULT LONDON WEST

Have had my cup at the garage all week for the usual bits and peices.

When I came to pick the car up on friday. My new silver beesting ariel had been snapped. The brakes are still making the thumping noise and the suspension is even worse.

Plus it cost me £78 for an oil change
