This is driving me mad, advice please (mw2 content)

So i bought the resurance map pack through xbox live. Tried to downloading it a few times. It gets to 12% (slowly) and just stops. Anyone got any ideas?

delete the cache and try again? Could try unplugging the router to change your ip too (unless you can't)

Will try the deletion of cache, think ive allready done that though. Its just so slow its untrue and ive only just had a new router (netgear) fitted from orange. Im hopeless when it comes to this sort of stuff, that and lack of patience doesnt help. I have noticed to download something you have to be signed in but the when i go back to it after ten mins or so i have to sign back in to check the status. Is that how it should be?

Never had any problems downloading stuff and I've got the worst connection known to man.

Been looking into it and i think theres a problem with the router blocking the xbox from downloading stuff. Spoke to Orange and ive got to do a speed test when i get home, ring them and they will make the adjustments to the router to allow the downloads. Well hopefully anyway

Have you had a fiddle with your NAT settings?

What does a connection test on the Xbox say?

havent changed the nat settings. When i do the connection test its fine.

Have you manually opened the ports on your router? What router do you have?

I had to manually open all the ports, being pretty novice at networking and the like, it was quite a ballache, but found a good guide on it on google. Solved all my problems.

Ive got a netgear router supplied new by Orange. I dont know how open the ports although i have read that could be the problem.

you managed to acess the router settings? it should be quite easy to find once you manage that.

I can access the router but cant see where to change the settings. im on the phone to orange as i type but getting no where quickly. This make sense?

i didnt have to do anything like that in the guide craigus i guess it depends on your router. dont even know what router i did the settings on as it was at my missus house all i know was it was Bt so would be pointless in me trying to explain.

live getting issues its the same with s**tty bt so yeah worth a try mate worst comes to worse you can reset your router.

Got a mate coming round to try and sort this out. Its been trying to download for the past hour and its on 10% lol. Even the g/fs galaxy s2 is running stupidly slow on wifi, and thats normally mega quick. Oh the joy
