Thorney Island Car Show

Did anyone goto the Thorney Island car show yesterday? Just wondering because no-ones mentioned it, and it was fecking excellent!

My boss was out on his boat yesterday and sailed into Bosham. He mentioned today that I should look into hiring Thorney airstip for a day as he heard "loud engines and plenty of tyre screeching" as he went round the island.

Im local, but had no idea it was on...how did you hear of it?

I thought about going, but it was £30 for unlimited runs on the 1/4 mile and was rather busy..

Would be hard to rent it out as its owned by the army still i think and they dont open it very often

I knew about it through work (and a girl I work with lives on the army base), but I forgot about it!

Excellent day out mangaed to get me and the girlfriend in for a tenner, and a pint was only £1.50 The worst bit was the queues. Took about 45 minutes to get in, and just as long to get out again! My Clio 16v overheated, ended up pushing it some of the way, and was still moving just as fast as the overs!
