Just been thinking, why dont insurance companys charge people depending on what tyres people have on their vehicles???

example

a 182 fitted with remoulds isnt gonna be the safest thing to drive!!!!!

True, I remember there being a thread aggges ago about different tyre makes being classed as "modifications" if they werent the same as the ones when the car came out of the factory. Bear in mind, this was about a year ago and I dont want to mash up the search function...!

i think they look at the tyres, but i think they leave the technicle stuff to the police, in accident cases. Your car would need to traveling quite some way above the limit for the tyres to rendered a problem, unless they are budget remoulds.
