Throttle Body Conversion - 172

I have noticed a few places do this - Anyone know where is the cheapest without compromise!

Have noticed that Prima do it!

Prima are a bit "Max Power" with their power claims!!!

ROAMER is the man to speak to (he was the first in the UK to Throttle Body a 172)

he is soon to be offering Throttle Body Kits (cheap too)

his car is currently 212bhp (std head) (also its for sale at £11K)

Prima "claim" 240bhp with cams headwork + TBs, BUT they arent using trumpets, so i very much doubt that claim LOL!!!

mmm thought about it but it is a mk2, and I prefer my mk1 to my Cup.

Did chat to him, But the problem I have is finding someone in Central London to fit (it just aint gonna happen) so ideally I want to find somewhere to supply and fit.

Prima have said it is £2950 inc Vat and Fitting for Throttle Bodies, Cams, Head work etc. - It is nearly Christmas too. hehe

Its not a bad price but how often do you hear of stuff being done at prima?

Ive heard a few stories about their work being less than adequate.

Well I havent managed to get a price for this work from anyone else mate, including vat and fitting!

good price, but they use the weber alpha stuff, which to be honnest is PAP!!!!

BenR and GDI are based in cambridge (speak to them about a price)

The kit Roamer does/is doing, fits all mk1 and mk2 172s (infact its easier on the mk1!!)

Roamers kits are going "live" over the next few weeks (website etc)

Head and Cams is seperate. This would cost you around £1850 inc VAT and fitting.

Power on Throttle Bodies approx 30-40BHP
Power on Head & Cams approx 20-30 BHP

We modified a Clio 172 - your shape and it was featured in Max Power magazine November issue. This car had approx 240bhp with head, cams, throttle bodies and we also fitted nitrous at around another +30bhp.
