Throttle Body stick... :(

Hi guys seems like I have the dreaded sticky throttle body problem, revs to 2000+ in idle and stays their until thw accelarator is touched.

Cleaned all the body out fully the other day and greased it up loads too also cleaned out the intake manifold too. All seem sorted for 24 hours but now the problem has started again, the cable is not splitting and the spring seems to return to the normal postion, certainly the butterfly has plenty of strengh in it when wanting to return to the normal postion, well it blooby traps fingers well!

Im just thinking of buying a new throttle body, does anyone know how much they go for?

throtlle body for a ph1 172 is around £240 + vat. Mates got the same problem, ive changed his clutch cable as they are only £20, didnt solve it.

The pedal is a bit notchy, not bad by any stretch but will get it replaced to elimanate that side of it. How hard are they to do?

Yea thats how mine feels, not bad but now smooth
