throttle position sensor fault quick question

hi everyone
last nite ''limp home'' mode came on with engine management light in my phase 2 172.
Came out to it this morning and ''limp home'' light had gone off but engine management light was still on took it to have it plugged in and fault came up with..

throttle position sensor between track 1 and track 2

is this the actual pedal its self just did a search and found a few things out just wanted to check if anyone knew what it ment by between track 1 and track 2
