Throttle problem yet again. Help needed

  Ph1 T
Right a month or so ago my ph1 was idling like s**t and revving itself to like 3000rpm now I fitted a new throttle cable and everything was fine,, until yesterday while I was at cadwell, I came off and was going to park up and noticed it revving itself again slowly crawls up on its own and also if nock it out of gear would hold at like 2k..

When I lift the accelerator up from underneath with my foot (if you get me) it drops back down and idles perfect??

Help appreciated

Dan

If blipping or pulling the throttle up solves it, that alone suggests to me it's simply cable/TB related. Nowt else is involved.

New TB unit I guess..

I fixed the issue like this.

Remove the magnetti marelli sensor.
Under this you will find the axle that is attached to the butterfly valve.
Around this there is a small ring wich is holding the axle in place (stops it from going side to side).
On this ring there are some blades that are tight to the axle, give a few subtle knocks on these blades with a hammer and a screwdriver.
Be carefull because doing this will tighten the spring on the other side of the axle and should just center the butterfly valve again.

Now you can enjoy your fully working TB again !!
Done this 6/7 months ago, has been running flawlessly since then (including some very hard driving).
Also completely cleaned it with all the right stuff, did not solve the issue for long (1/2 days).

By request of Dan here are some extra picture's wich should help out everyone who has this problem.

Locate the Magnetti Marrelli Sensor on the TB :

See/Locate this ring arround the axle :

Then with a small flathead screwdriver and a hammer give some slight knocks on the "blades" (marked red).
You have to do this all round the axle !
This should get the axle a bit more loose and let the butterfly valve move freely without scraping the inside.
See the difference marked with blue of where the blades where before.

At all times look into it that the TB butterfly valve is moving freely without scrapping !!
