Throttle sticking!?

  182 Full of Fat
Went for a drive last night and when I plant my foot (past the click) the pedal sticks and I've literally got to get my toe under and release it.

When the engines not running the pedal doesn't stick at all. Any ideas because as you can imagine I'm pretty worried about putting my foot down now!

It's a 182 btw...

its DBW throttle mate, so cleaning it wont help as its not phsically attached to the pedal.

Its got to be the pedl sticking, so get down under there and look at the pedal, there is nothing that can only make it stick when driving

I'm guessing maybe something inside the sensor box on the pedal is catching.. Physically using your foot to press up on it says to me this is the case.. Spring has failed etc..

Have a good look, but tbh maybe time for a new pedal?

Oh yeah forgot they are a whole pedal assembly not just a case of connected to a wee wire, my bad. Possibly still catching on some sort of carpet or something? Or as suggested, a new pedal unit would be a good idea if you can get one.

Ok thanks for suggestions.
I thought it was wierd because I pulled over and stopped the engine (slammed the pedal down a few times and it was ok). Once I started driving again the pedal stuck the 1st time I put my foot down. May just be coincedence it happened whilst it was running. Will have a look behind the pedal though and prob buy a new one.

Cheers.
