Throttlebody??

I've seen a few people recently removing the Throttlebody on the RS and giving it a Clean, Will this actually make any difference?

Is there anything I should watch out for if I do mine? What Products are best to use?

Use either carb or brake cleaner and a lint free cloth, nothing else.

Can be cleaned in place but can be taken off completely also. Won't feel or notice any difference bar maybe a smoother idle if it's dirty.

Cleaning mine cured and intermittant stalling problem that had occurred.

Excellent, Mine is a little lumpy on Idle so this may help

Would Engine degreaser do the Trick? I think I'll remove it as I don't trust myself not to get some in the Engine

Hiyas mate Any household Degreaser will do, i used a general household one on mine, you dont need a specfic one just make sure you dry it well i just used some kitchen roll to do mine, as long as you make sure you dont leave any bits in the tb it will be fine mate

Brake cleaner is nasty stuff you wont need to rub anything on it just spray some through and make sure any loose bits of crap run free. Its best not to open the motor manually by hand either.

Meths are nice and safe (as long as you don't drink them!) for cleaning it.
