Throwing up water (Not illness)

Anyone else find that the 172/Cup (might just be clios) throw up loads of water in the rain. Ive never owned a car that chucks up as much liquid, is it to do with the wide rear tyres or aerodynamics underneath?

When i read the topic i had visions of chcuking up water after a night on the lash
