Tidying up and questions

I've decided to tidy up my engine bay a while ago, bought a grey inlet manifold , and found out the hard way they are different from model to model!

The he one I bought I believe was a 172 phase 2 as it had only 1 bolt hole at the back near the coil pack, so that was shelved and found a new one !

I received another inlet with two holes at the back so was happy , painted it up , got a fuel rail cover etc looks loads better

im happy as it cost me very little manifold was about £10, and the paint I had around :)

Only question/problem I have is when fitting the new one , it's missing the outlet for the carbon canister I think

its blocked out on the new manifold , I've ran it with the new on drives fine no lights etc etc , do I need this connected as I'm sure I read somewhere people disconnect it anyway !

Also what manifold have I fitted now hahaha ?

I think black makes it look so tacky, silver inlets to match the fuel guard would be 10x better.
