Tight wheel nuts

  1.8 8v RSi
im ment to be swapping my old alloys for another set with a member on sunday and the wheel nuts are too tight and it keeps snapping my wrench bits. how can i get them off? is there anything stonger or are the wheels destined to stay on the car?
thing is though they not normal bolts they have a hexagon shape in the center that you push in a bit then attatch it to an adaptor bit to fit on a wrench...even my torque wrench adaptor broke. the size it 10mm part that fits over

i dont know if this would help, but maybe giving them a spray with wd40 or something similar and leaving for a bit?

hit them with a hammer hard, or hammer them with a socket extension or something, anything just to shock them.

snapped one of my wheel braces clean in half taking the wheels off my mates combi van, they was tightened way too tight
