We dropped the car off late saturday afternoon, then went and booked into our hotel. We were greeted by all number of wonderful 'show cars' in the car park, as round 1 was held at the same time as the ITIS show.

Sign on, briefing and scrutineering went without problem. so it was romper suit on, ready for action..

First practice session went well, was super slippery, with some mean over steer into and out of some of the corners.

I actually was 7th fastest car overall (club class) after the first practice, tho i put this down to not everyone being out, and most people going very carefully!

The track started to dry out during the day which was nice, and speeds kept increasing, and times dropping for all cars.

The rest of the sessions went well, with no mechanical problems. I didnt manage to qulaify for the final 'super battle', not overly suprising seeing as the rest of the cars in my class were far faster.

But reviewing my overall times etc, i was fairly pleased, managing to come 6th in class, plus beat a few bigger powered cars from the F/I class. Plus the suspension on the car isnt setup properly, and i have never driven the track before. But enough of the excuses, really enjoyed the whole experience, and look forward to the remaining rounds.

Good write up, looks like it was worth all the effort with the car.

Do you have to run R888's in the wet too? I seem to remember you saying they were a control tyre

Burp - can run any tyre, as long as its a TOYO! (and not slicks).

the track was drying pretty quickly, so didnt bother changing my tyres over, just ran the 888's... which was fun!
