Timing Belt

My car has gone in for a new timing belt done double what it should have done so thought i better get it done

Your lucky it didn't snap, it causes a fair bit of damage if it does!

You were lucky, they usually snap not long after the specified mileage.

Cant have done double.. its 72k or 5(maybe 6) years whatever is first.. unless you have done 144k :-o but as said its best to get it done before the interval.. dont trust what manufacturers say.. i mean renault say 18k between oil changes.. thats just wrong and far too long.

they say every 36k miles i have done just under 66k i never thought of getting it done but got it back now how could i have not done 72K?

its 5years or 72Kmiles mate, aux belt is every 36K
